After all the counting we rearranged the shop window and went for a much needed skate.

Mark, Mick and Vic ready for the off

Luke is off to the St Aubin Freeride next weekend, and will have stickers and some t-shirts with him to give away, also let us know if you want any skate stuff bringing to the freeride (pads, wheels, gloves) and he will stick it in the car.

And so it begins....

Everything has to start somewhere, so here goes!

Welcome to the Longboard Lounge Blog, on this we will be posting updates and stories from the shop, together with offers not to be seen anywhere else...

Hog Hill
We came we met lots of people, there was skating and much fun was had, we arrived to meet Alex, who was the organiser and get all set up.
Pretty much straight away people started coming up and saying hi, followed by, 'ooh how much is that?' we fended people off with the promise we would be all set shortly.
In no time at all we had everything out of the van and we were all set and welcomed them back with open arms and lots of shiny new wheels!

Also taking place was a shoot for a calendar for breast cancer awareness, similar to the WI naked one, but a ladies of longboarding! Liz Kinnish was the mastermind behind the idea, and we all look forwards to seeing the finished item!

Dangerous decks were there, good to see a UK boardshaper, their mini speedboard mini moto challenge provided a lot of entertainment, at less than 26 inches in length it was nearly impossible to put both feet on! We will be supporting them and hopefully having some in the shop to try soon.

Fee Bucheler from Layback Germany was there to do a girls workshop, she said that it was really good and encouraging that there were 9 girls riding, and we agree, we would love to see more girls on board, and are trying to organise a girls workshop with tutiton by girls.

Overall it was a really good event, and Mark even got to help a damsel in distress with a seized bearing on a hangar!

Looking forwards to the next one in August!

P.s.
Its International Go Skateboarding Day on the 21st of June, to celebrate this we will be having our one day summer wheel sale, with up to 40% off RRP!
We realise that some people may want to buy wheels but cant get to the shop on sale day, so we will post up a list of wheels, drop us an email to say you want them, first come first served!
